Accommodations
Students being served by the Program for Students with Disabilities may have priority registration, use of the Assistive Technology Lab, and appointments with professional staff upon request. Other accommodations may include, but are not limited to:

  • Extended Time on Exams
  • Permission to Tape Lectures
  • Large Print or Braille
  • Textbooks in Alternate Formats
  • Specialized Computer Equipment
  • FM System
  • Removal of Structural Barriers
  • Class Notetaker
  • Use of a Calculator (basic four function)
  • Spell Checker
  • Text Telephone (TDD)
  • Interpreter Services
  • Students are referred to appropriate campus resources such as tutors, counseling services and the AU Medical Clinic. Professional staff serve as liaisons to university faculty as needed.

Accommodations are individually determined and must be supported by disability documentation. It is the student's responsibility to request accommodations and provide documentation.
